The Energy Audit Tracker

The Energy Audit Tracker

We often think of energy in terms of how tired we feel. But energy comes in many forms—and it’s not just physical. As you enter a new season of life, understanding your energy landscape becomes a powerful act of self-awareness. This tracker is designed to help you notice not just what you do, but how different aspects of your life affect your energy: emotionally, mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually.
Over the next seven days, you’ll tune into how everyday moments affect you. Not to fix, not to judge—just to witness. And then, with greater clarity, decide what needs to shift.

The Five Types of Energy to Notice

  1. Physical – How your body feels: rested, tense, sluggish, strong
  2. Emotional – Your mood and emotional responses: uplifted, frustrated, calm, anxious
  3. Mental – Focus and clarity: sharp, distracted, stimulated, drained
  4. Social – Interactions with others: energised, overstimulated, lonely, connected
  5. Spiritual – Sense of meaning: aligned, flat, inspired, disconnected

How to Use This Tracker

Each day, record a few meaningful moments or activities. Instead of only tracking what you do, ask how each experience influenced the different types of energy. Use the notes column to reflect further—What surprised you? What patterns do you see? This is where the gold is.

The first instinct might be to defend or deflect. But take a breath. What if this feedback could save you months—or years—of learning the hard way? You don’t have to agree with every word, but listening with openness is a sign of real maturity.

End-of-Week Reflection: What Is Your Energy Telling You?

  • Which activities gave me unexpected energy?
  • What consistently drained me, even if it ‘shouldn’t’ have?
  • Which type of energy (physical, emotional, etc.) felt most depleted? Which felt nourished?
  • Where is something out of alignment in my routine or relationships?
  • What small changes could I make to invite more vitality into my days?
  • What boundaries need to be protected, and what sources of energy could be cultivated more intentionally?
There is no right way to feel. But there is a more conscious way to respond. Let this audit be your beginning.
