Coaching and structured programmes for professionals approaching retirement — or already in it — who don’t simply want to stop. Most retirement offers help you sort out your money. Your Next Decade helps you sort out yourself.
You’ve had a career of substance. Now something has shifted — or is about to. This is not about winding down. It’s about what comes next.
You’ve stepped back from a senior role and found that retirement doesn’t quite fit. The title is gone but the drive isn’t.
You’re approaching a transition — voluntary or not — and you want to navigate it deliberately, not reactively. You want a real plan.
Your experience, perspective, and judgment are genuinely valuable. You’re looking for the right container to deploy them.
Life looks fine from the outside. But internally, you know something important is missing — and you’re not satisfied with that.
You’re drawn to a mix of consulting, advisory, writing, or purpose-driven work — but you need help designing the architecture.
You’re not looking for lifestyle content or generic inspiration. You want rigorous, psychologically-informed support for real change.
There is a profound difference between retiring from something and moving towards something. We help you get clear on what that something is.

Four ways to work with Your Next Decade. Each is grounded in psychology, leadership development, and twenty-plus years of working with people at pivotal moments.
A focused, confidential coaching engagement for executives, senior professionals, and recently retired leaders facing identity loss, transition, or the question of what comes next. Personalised, psychologically rigorous, and built around your specific situation.
A twelve-week structured cohort of eight to twelve people working through identity, purpose, possibility, and practical planning. Every participant leaves with a written, considered “Next Decade Plan.”
Facilitated workshops for companies supporting senior leaders through retirement, role change, or major transitions. Designed for HR teams, learning & development, alumni groups, and pension transition programmes.
A growing collection of curated content, guided tools, structured reflection prompts, and a private community of people who take the second half of life seriously. Launching in phases through 2026.
I’m Mags Treanor — a psychologist, executive coach, and the founder of Your Next Decade. My work sits at the intersection of psychology, reinvention, purpose, and practical business thinking. For more than twenty years I have worked with leaders, organisations, and individuals at pivotal moments of change — through leadership development, coaching, facilitation, and psychological insight.
I built Your Next Decade because I kept seeing the same gap. Serious, experienced people in later life were being poorly served by the existing market: generic life coaching, watered-down retirement planning, wellness content that talks down to its audience. None of it was good enough for the people I was meeting — people who still had talent, ambition, wisdom, and real value to offer.
My focus now is on one of the most overlooked groups in the market: experienced post-career professionals who are not ready to fade into the background. I help them design a meaningful and purposeful next chapter — not a passive retirement product, but a serious, modern offering for people who want to stay engaged, useful, challenged, and connected.
Alongside this, I am building a broader professional brand around reinvention, purpose, leadership, and adapting well to major life transitions. Your Next Decade is built to be rigorous, psychologically informed, commercially literate, and deeply human.
We don’t start with templates or frameworks. We start with you — your history, your values, and what you actually want from the years ahead.
We begin with deep listening. Who you are, what you’ve built, what matters, and what’s no longer working. No assumptions, no projections.
We surface your values, your strengths, and the beliefs — useful and limiting — shaping your choices. Psychological rigour meets honest conversation.
We build a real vision for your next chapter. Not vague intentions — a concrete, considered architecture for how you want to live and work.
Ideas become actions. We work through the practical, strategic, and psychological steps to make your next decade real — not just planned.
